“Griselda Duch’s work often expresses a strong sense of rich and vibrant colours.  The series of monochromes represents a conscious break. Clear lines, shapes and texture dominate in the series. Experiencing  her day-to-day environment  in black & white becomes a method to create a distance between oneself and the familiar, question or even break down certainties. The monochrome images reflect an aesthetic exercise to distil and to get clarity of how we relate to the world around us.  This adds a certain meditative quality to  Griselda Duch’s work.”
